Springfield Police Investigate Shooting that Injured 3 Men
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Police are investigating a shooting in Springfield on Franklin Street that left three men injured.
Police received the call around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for a shooting at 415 Franklin Street.
According to Springfield Police Captain Cheryl Clapprood, the three men were shooting at each other. One man has a gunshot wound to the thigh, another was grazed in the head by a bullet, and the third man whom police were searching for for some time, was shot in the calf.
The first two men were transported by ambulance to Baystate Medical Center from the scene. The third man is at the hospital as well. All 3 men are being treated for their injuries and are expected to survive.
Officers have recovered a handgun in this case and charges will likely be filed in this case according to police.
The shooting remains under investigation.
