8-year-old Luke Bradley not only gets a jersey and a locker, but a chance to be a part of the football team over the year.
He can attend practices and be on the sideline for games.
We spoke with Luke’s Dad, Ryan Bradley, who told us, “It’s incredible. When you get hit with something like this at first there’s amazing shock and you feel like you’re just stuck but when you see people rally around to support your family and support your son, it’s very emotional and it overwhelms you.”
Springfield College football team coach Mike Delong adds, ”Our team is a very welcoming team and we’re proud that they’ve decided to take on this undertaking and hopefully make a positive impact on this young child as he continues with his medical issues.”
This was all part of the Team Impact Program. It’s a non-profit organization focused on improving the quality of life for children facing life-threatening illnesses.
