Palmer Man Sent to the Hospital with Serious Injuries Following Motorcycle Crash

Palmer Motorcyle AxPALMER, Mass. (WGGB) — Police are investigating a motorcycle accident in Palmer this evening that has sent a local man to the hospital with serious injuries.

The accident occurred at 311 Old Warren Road in Palmer at about 6:15 p.m. today.

Palmer Police Sgt. Christopher Burns told ABC40, “It appears he was traveling northbound on Old Warren Road and lost control of the bike and went off the bike.”

The man is a Palmer resident who lives less than a half-mile away from where he crashed.

“He’s in pretty serious condition in the ICU up at Baystate,” says Burns. “I wouldn’t say that speed was a major contributing factor at this point.”

Police are not releasing his name at this time.

The accident remains under investigation by the Palmer Police Department.
