“We’re looking for a guy who’s got a history of defaults,” says Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney. “A default is when you get arrested, you show up in court and you don’t show up again.”
Springfield Police say Noeli Espinoza is a repeat offender — defaulting twice for the same domestic assault back in 2009.
“His partner, who was pregnant — knowingly pregnant, was assaulted by the subject we’re looking for,” says Delaney.
Police say the victim’s 14-year-old son was present during the assault, which left the victim with visible marks on her face.
But, because police say Espinoza has failed to show up in court twice, he has not yet been held accountable for the assault.
“We’re hoping somebody knows where he is so he can discontinue the history of default on him and get him to answer to these charges,” says Delaney.
If you know Espinoza’s whereabouts, call the Springfield Police Department or text an anonymous tip to C-R-I-M-E-S.
