1 Dead, 15 Injured in Boston House Fire

BOSTON (AP) — Boston firefighters say a house fire in the city’s Allston neighborhood has killed one person and injured at least 15, including six firefighters.

Steve MacDonald, a spokesman for the Boston Fire Department, told The Boston Globe six of the 18 residents in the house on Sunday were Boston University students.

He said a first responder saw a person jump from a roof to the ground to flee the fire and three others were rescued by firefighters with ladders.

MacDonald says a cause has not been determined.

The identity of the victim who died has not been released.
