(WGGB) — The maker of Orville Redenbacher popcorn has issued a voluntary recall after some packages of ready-to-eat kettle corn may have an undeclared allergen.
ConAgra Foods says that certain bags of their “Orville Redenbacher Classic Kettle Korn Ready-to-Eat Popcorn” may have been inadvertently filled with white cheddar popcorn, which contains milk, an allergen that is not declared on the kettle corn packaging.
The problem was discovered when a customer found white cheddar flavored popcorn in a kettle corn package and contacted the company.
Those who have an allergy or sensitivity to milk may have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they were to eat the white cheddar popcorn.
No illnesses have been reported.
