SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say four people, including three children, are dead after an early-morning fire swept through a house in Schenectady, N.Y.

Officials tell local media that a fourth child was taken to the burn unit at Westchester Medical Center after the Thursday morning blaze.

They say the fire in Schenectady, just west of the capital of Albany, broke out shortly after 4 a.m. The fire struck the two-story wood frame house after firefighters fought another blaze about a half-mile away.
