Statue of Lobster Stolen from Conn. Seafood Company
SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (AP) — Southington police are on the lookout for a 5 1/2 foot fiberglass lobster.
Police say someone has stolen the lobster statue from in front of Gulf Shrimp, a local seafood company.
Camille Simoneaux, the co-owner of Gulf Shrimp, tells WVIT-TV employees realized the statue was missing over the weekend and called police.
She says the lobster is worth about $2,000, but more important, it’s a local landmark, and good advertising for the business.
