‘Elvis’ Raises Money for Local BoyWESTFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Elvis made an appearance tonight in western mass for a good cause.
Impersonator James Cawley performed as ‘the king’ at east mountain country club to help a young Westfield boy named ‘baby Kane’
The 5-month old was born with seven heart defects and had open heart surgery when he was 2 days old.
The benefit concert is raising money to pay for his mounting medical bills.
“The idea was that Patty Wright who takes care of a lot of our road business contacted me,” explained Cawley. “She knew the family, she’s from the area and she said, ‘hey this child needs some help and we want to put together a show’ and I said ‘let’s do it’.”
Baby Kane sees a cardiologist, pulmonary specialist, allergist and nutritionist in Boston every month because his condition is so complex. And he’s reached the limit of his health insurance for 2013.
