Police Seek Car In Springfield Armed Robbery

SPRINGFIELD (WGGB) – Springfield Police are searching for a car involved in an armed robbery this morning.

It started about 4:30am Monday, in front of the Racing Mart on Sumner Avenue. That’s where police say an individual was robbed on the street, and the suspects took off in a car.

Police were able to spot the vehicle and chase is for some time , but then lost track of it. Police then found the car in the area of King and Hancock Streets, but the driver was no where to be found. Officers tell ABC40 that the car was stolen.

No arrestS have been made.

Police are currently looking for another car that may be involved, a black Honda with a wing graphic on the back. If you have any information, you are asked to call Springfield Police at (413) 787-6310.
