Amber Alert Final

BOSTON, Mass. (WGGB) — Police have located a teenage boy who had been allegedly taken by his father.

At about 7:30 p.m., the Boston police responded to a reported abduction at 9 Highland Street in Roxbury.  Police learned that Jonathan Moore Sr. forced his way into the home at that address, and assaulted and severely injured the person inside.

According to the preliminary investigation, Moore claimed to have a handgun and threatened to use it. He then allegedly abducted his son, 13-year-old Jonathan Moore Jr.

Moore Sr. was seen fleeing the area in a red Toyota Camry with his girlfriend 25-year-old Ashley Smith.

After several hours of searching for the boy and working to ensure his safety, Mass. State Police issued an Amber Alert

Around 10:45 p.m., that alert was deactivated after the boy was located safe in Cambridge

Moore Sr. and Smith, however, is still on the loose, and authorities are still working to locate them.
