Risk of Severe Thunderstorms Remains for Western Mass.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — A tornado warning issued earlier for Berkshire County has expired.

For a few hours Monday afternoon, the National Weather Service had issued a warning until 6:00 p.m. for the Berkshires, but that advisory has since expired.

The chance of severe weather still exists, however,

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains for Berkshire County until 7:00 p.m., while a Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden Counties until 9:00 p.m.

If you see ominous weather conditions approaching, you are advised to seek shelter.
