SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Police have identified a man killed Tuesday night in the city’s Forest Park neighborhood.

Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney says that officers responded to 273 Orange Street around 8:00 p.m. Tuesday for a report of shots fired in the area.

They arrived to find 30-year-old Fabian Pacheco suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was taken to Baystate Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead just after 8:30 p.m.

Delaney adds investigators found Oxycodone pills, marijuana, and cocaine packages for sale at the scene, and police believe that the murder was “drug-related.”
