SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Police say one night this past January, 25-year-old Latonya Holmes just couldn’t see eye-to-eye with her twin sister.
“They had a vicious argument, which turned into where Latonya grabbed a knife and assaulted her with the knife — and her sister was 6 months pregnant at the time,” says Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney. “During the fight, she took an elbow and smashed her in the stomach.”
Once police arrived on scene, Latonya’s twin was taken to the hospital and Latonya was taken into custody.
When police ran Latonya’s record, they found another warrant for larceny.
Police say back in December, Latonya broke into a nearby home and stole several electronics.
“Those items were an X-Box and a lot of other electronics and she went to a pawn shop at the X,” says Delaney.
Latonya had to show her ID in exchange for cash. When officers stopped by the pawn shop a few days later, they were able to tie her to the theft.
Latonya has since defaulted in court. Now police are looking for her on both the larceny charges, as well as the assault on her sister.
