Runners Brave the Rain for Run to Remember

file (25)SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (wggb) — Runners braved the rain today at South Hadley’s Run to Remember 5K. The event is a fundraiser to allow the town’s Memorial Day Parade Committee to expand their work of honoring troops and veterans.

The race kicked off at Buttery Brook Park and participants could either run the 5K or participate in a 1 mile walk. And runners were also able to take part in the post race party that included a catered lunch, beverages, a bounce house, raffles and awards.

A portion of the proceeds from today’s race will also benefit the Peter Krasnor Memorial Scholarship Fun and the One Fund Boston.
