The Unofficial Start of Summer Brings Snow to Parts of New England!

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – Memorial Day Weekend marks the unofficial start to summer but it was anything but summer like yesterday. While it was cold, rainy and windy here in the Pioneer Valley there was accumulating snow across parts of Vermont.

These photos are hard to believe but they were taken yesterday afternoon. As much as 6 inches of heavy, wet snow fell across the the mountains of Vermont. In fact, there was even some snow across the highest peaks of  the Berkshires where a few spots saw a slushy coating. So much for summer!!
