Springfield Relay For Life

Relay Four LifeSPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Springfield College is hosting the Relay for Life this weekend.

More than 2,000 people are taking part in the walk. It’s all to raise money for breast cancer research.

“We’re hoping to spread cancer awareness and the different programs that the American Cancer Society provides. We’re celebrating our survivors, we have a survivor dinner going on and a survivor lap coming,” said Caroline Kelly, volunteer.

The walk started at 3 p.m. Friday and will finish at 3 p.m. on Saturday with a closing ceremony.
