Heavy Rain but Most Rivers/Steams Should be OK

rainSPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) Heavy rain and will continue to move into the area and will last through tonight as the remains of Andrea move up the coast. A Flood Watch remains in effect for all of Western Massachusetts through tomorrow morning.

A solid 2-3″ of rain will fall across western Mass with the heaviest rain occurring this evening into tonight. The rain will cause some street flooing along with flooding in areas of poor drainage. There may be some minor flooding along small rivers and streams however most of the bigger rivers should be ok.
