Angels Win 6th Straight at Fenway, Beat Boston 9-5

BOSTON (AP) — Mark Trumbo and Erick Aybar each drove in two runs and the Los Angeles Angels posted their team-record sixth straight win at Fenway Park, beating the Boston Red Sox 9-5 Saturday in the opener of a day-night doubleheader.

Mike Trout added a pair of doubles high off the Green Monster and collected three hits for the Angels, who went 6-0 overall against the Red Sox last season.

Los Angeles won its ninth consecutive game against Boston in the clubs’ first meeting this year.

Mike Carp had a solo homer, three hits and drove in two runs for Boston.
