Man Shot Multiple Times in Springfield

Police-Shooting2SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — A man is in the hospital after he was shot several times Wednesday night.

Springfield Police Capt. Larry Brown told ABC40 that the 35-year-old victim was walking with a friend on Harriet Street at around 9:30 p.m. when a red or maroon SUV pulled up, two men got out and started firing.

The victim was hit in the legs and hands. His friend drove him to Baystate Medical Center. His condition is unknown at this time.

The Springfield Detective Bureau is investigating.
