Springfield Police Seeking Smash-and-Grab Suspects

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Springfield Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three suspects that broke into a city gas station and stole about three dozen cartons of cigarettes.

Just after midnight Wednesday, Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney says three suspects smashed out the front window of the Pride gas station on Page Boulevard and went into the store.

Delaney adds that the store was ransacked and over 35 cartons of cigarettes were stolen.

Investigators hope that someone recognizes the people pictured in store surveillance pictures or the clothes these individuals were wearing.

If you have any information on the case, you are asked to call Springfield Police at (413) 787-6355 or ‘Text-a-Tip’ to CRIMES (274637). In the message, type SOLVE and your tip.
