(CNN) — In an age of extra airline fees, Southwest Airlines announced another free perk for its passengers.
Starting this week, passengers with internet-ready devices can watch live TV on Southwest flights – for free.
The airline says Dish Network will also provide free access to up to 75 on-demand shows.
Previously, the airline charged passengers $5 for the service.
Southwest says the service will be available on planes that are equipped with wireless internet, which is about 75 percent of its fleet.
While the airline isn’t the first to offer free in-flight television, it says it is the first to offer the service on personal mobile devices.
