photo(105)SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WGGB) — The search for a 5-year old girl who fell into the Connecticut River has entered its fourth day.

Today, crews from Agawam and Springfield are getting involved in the search.

According to Dennis Leger, aid to the Springfield Fire Commissioner, boats will be launched to search the area north of the North End Bridge.

The little girl fell into the river in South Hadley on Saturday night.

She and her family were visiting the area from California.

According to officials, the little girl was walking on a dock, when she slipped in between a space in the dock and a boat.

The strong currents and murky conditions have made the search difficult.

Crews from Longmeadow and Holyoke along with the State Police Underwater Recovery Unit are also involved in the search.
