Wanted: Jocelyn Christiansen
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Springfield Police say a woman was getting off a bus near Holly Street and Berkshire Avenue last December when she noticed two female acquaintances were following her home.
“As she was walking, words were exchanged back and forth and at one point, one of the girls said to her, ‘Don’t even try looking in our direction because I’ll hit you,’ says Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney. “As soon as that took place, she got struck from behind and a fight ensued.”
Police say one of the suspects pinned the victim to the ground, then Jocelyn Christiansen attacked.
“Ms. Christiansen took her feet and started kicking her in the face,” says Delaney. “The fight didn’t stop.”
Delaney adds, “She was calling for help — the victim — and when she called for help, she observed that Christiansen stabbed her in the side with a knife.”
A Good Samaritan heard the victim’s screams and called 911, but the two assailants took off before officers arrived.
In the months since the attack, Springfield Police have taken one of the suspects into custody.
“We locked up one of them,” says Delaney. “One, we’re still looking for — Jocelyn Christiansen.”
Delaney adds, “We’re hoping somebody recognizes her and lets us know where she is so we can get her under arrest.”
Police say Christiansen’s last known address is on Hampden Street in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield.
