(WESTFIELD, Mass.) (WGGB)–Hampden County District Attorney mark Mastroianni says convicted killer Lewis Lent has confessed to abducting and murdering Jamie Lusher of Westfield in 1992.

Jamie’s sister Jennifer Nowak says the 21-tear old cold case has been painful for the family,”Anybody that knows me knows I talk about this,  think about it every day,” says Jennifer Nowak.

An emotional Jennifer Nowak talks about missing her brother Jamie who was abducted in 1992 when he was 16.

Jennifer was 18 when Jamie disappeared, she has fond memoris of her brother,”He had a wild spirit, very hyper, very talkative, loved to be with the mountain bikes, dogs, going out, raising all sorts of stuff in the woods, we had a really good time when we were kids,” says Nowak.

It’s been a long, and painful ordeal for the Lusher family,” Unless you’re a parent that has this happen to you, there’s no way anybody could know the feelings that you have,” says  Jamie’s father James Lusher.

When Lewis lent confessed to killing Jamie Lusher authorities said he told them that he left the body in Greenwater Pond in Becket.

Jamie’s father will be there when the search begins on Tuesday, saying he looks for closure in finding his son’s remains and knowing who killed him,” Finding his remains would be 100  percent proof, for lack of a better term closure, my final closure will be when I go to Heaven and get to say hi, get to see him again,” says James Lusher.
