Body Found in Conn. River Confirmed as Missing Calif. Girl

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WGGB) — Investigators have confirmed that a body pulled from the Conn. River last week is that of a girl who went missing on July 6.

The medical examiner’s office says that it has identified the body as 5-year-old Abigail Luker of La Mesa, Calif.

Luker, who was visiting from Calif., went missing Saturday, July 6 after investigators say she fell into the water through a space between a dock and moored boat, off of Cove Island Road in South Hadley.

Search teams scoured the water for days, eventually finding what was believed to be Luker’s body last Wednesday.

The district attorney’s office has determined that Luker’s death is “a tragic accident, with no foul play whatsoever involved.”

Stop blaming her parents already!!! I dont know about you people, but it literally takes my 3 year old 2 seconds to get into things he shouldn’t get into! Stop acting like all of you are perfect parents! This poor little girl ran after her puppy and disappeared in a matter of seconds. Unless any of you have night vision NO ONE could’ve seen her once she hit the water and the current took her she was gone. R.I.P. little angel and my prayers are with her parents I cant imagine how horrible they must feel. :(
