OLD LYME, Conn. (AP) — A fire on a truck carrying 80,000 pounds of frozen crab legs has shut down part of Interstate 95 through Old Lyme.
WFSB-TV reports that all southbound lanes are closed Friday morning between exits 70 and 71 after the tractor-trailer fire.
Northbound lanes were closed earlier but have reopened.
Officials say the truck was fully engulfed in flames when police arrived, and that fuel has spilled onto the highway. No one was reported injured.
Authorities say it may take a while because they have to unload the crab legs before they can move the truck off the highway.
