The event gives parents and kids safety tips and new ways to stay safe.
It was open to the public and free to everyone, thanks to sponsorship from local businesses. Several companies donated time, money and resources to keep the event going.
Libbos Law Firm, who was a main sponsor, gave out bicycle helmets to keep kids safe during the summer. “I think the response is excellent,” partner Thomas Libbos said, “there’s lots of different activities. They’re learning a lot about summer safety and general safety issues.”
The Masonic Youth Child Identification Program, or MYCHIP, provided resources for lost or missing children. There were also babysitter reference guidelines, car seat safety information, and an overview on the Amber Alert system.
