Holyoke Rite Aid Pharmacy Robbed

Police- Armed RobberyHOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB)– Police are continuing to search for a man accused of robbing prescription drugs from the Holyoke Rite Aid Saturday night.

Police say they received the call at 6:24 p.m. for an in progress armed robbery at the Rite Aid located at 1504 Northampton Road in Holyoke.

The suspect handed a slip of paper to the pharmacist and demanded to be given oxycodone.

When the pharmacist refused, the suspect lifted his shirt to reveal a gun.

The suspect then jumped over the counter and had the pharmacist open the safe where the oxycodone is located.

He filled a bag and ran away, but police say it didn’t appear to be very much.

The suspect is described as having dark skin and long hair.

The Holyoke Detective Bureau is continuing to work on this case.
