HARTFORD, Conn. (WGGB) — Police say that a body found in Suffield last week was a homicide victim, and now, three arrests have been made in connection to the case.
Last Friday, police discovered the body of a man, inside a duffel bag, near the Quarry Range in Suffield, Conn.
Hartford Police have identified that man as 56-year-old Peter Boateng of Hartford, and Hartford Police Lt. Brian Foley says that detectives found that Boateng was killed at 171 South Marshall Street in Hartford earlier this month.
Foley notes that through the investigation, which was a cooperative effort between Suffield Police, Hartford Police, and Conn. State Police, three people have been arrested and charged with Boateng’s death.
34-year-old Jose Rodriquez of Hartford has been charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, hindering prosecution, and tampering with physical evidence. He is currently be held on $1 million bond.
Also taken into custody were 45-year-old Anthony Hudson and 28-year-old Meaghan Cowles, both of Hartford.
Hudson is charged with accessory to commit murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and tampering with physical evidence, while Cowles is charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with evidence. Both are being held on $750,000 bond.
