Mass. Gas Tax Set to Go Up in Less than a Week
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — The gas tax is set to go up on Wednesday by three cents a gallon.
This could really put a damper on your summer travel plans when you combine it with already climbing gas prices.
ABC40 talked to the owner of Pride gasoline stations, Bob Bolduc today about the outlook on the cost of fuel.
“Unfortunately the price of gas has gone up about 40 cents in the last month. There’s no reason for it other than the world energy traders have decided it’s one of their cycles. It goes down, it goes up, I don’t think it will last, but we have to live with it,” says Bob.
Buldoc says that unrest in Egypt could also be contributing to the rising cost of gas.
