Adopt a Kitten at Dakin and Get Half Off Fees Through Aug. 4

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Summer is the busiest time of year for our local animal shelters and that’s why Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society is hosting its “Kitten Kaboodle” event.

Now through Sunday, August 4 you can adopt a kitten at the Springfield and Leverett locations for half off.

It’s $125 for one kitten and $200 for a pair.

This special price applies to all kittens eight weeks to six months.

“You know the nice thing about some of our juvenile kittens — those that are about four months of age — is that their personalities that they are going to have as an adult cat are really starting to shine through. The little kittens are still very kittenish, the older kittens, have all the joy and all the playfulness of kittens, but you really get to see what they are going to be as they grow into adulthood,” explains Candy Lash with Dakin Humane Society.

All adoptions include spay or neuter surgery, micro chipping, vaccinations and tests, a collar, tag and starter food kit…basically “The whole kitten kaboodle!” says Candy.
