Two Men Hospitalized After Bat Attack

doorSPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – Two men are recovering this morning after an incident involving bats sent them to the hospital with broken bones.

Springfield Police responded to a disturbance call just after 2am at the corner of Main and Howard Streets.

When they arrived, medical personnel were treating two men, who were then transported to Baystate Medical Center. One suffered a broken arm, the other a broken leg.

Police do not know what started the altercation, and have not made any arrests.
