US Rep. Kennedy joining delegation to Israel

Kennedy3BOSTON (AP) — U.S. Rep. Joseph Kennedy III is planning to join a congressional delegation heading to Israel.

Kennedy will join 36 other members of Congress. The trip is led by Rep. Steny Hoyer of Maryland, the House’s second-ranked Democrat.

The delegation will spend a week traveling across Israel, Palestinian territories and the region. The trip is scheduled to begin Monday and extend to Aug. 11. It’s Kennedy’s second visit to Israel.

Kennedy said he hopes the trip will give members of Congress a chance to witness the factors affecting stability in the region.

The Massachusetts Democrat said he also hopes the trip underscores what he calls the “deep friendship between Israel and the United States.”

Kennedy is a member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus.

Where the hell is all the money coming from to send 37 members of congress and I’m betting many of their aides to Israel? More tax payers dollars down the drain. These times are tough for most working americans but not for politicians. when they are using our money ANYTHING goes.
