Although she’s been looking for months, this tax free weekend is the perfect time to get her dress. “The tax free is definitely amazing. I definitely want to get a dress today my mom; I’m having her come right now so she can see the dress,” McGurn said.
Shop owner Analia St. George is running around even more than usual, tending to the rush of customers she’s seeing. “A lot of appointments today. A lot of girls coming in, a lot of wedding parties, even moms I have like 3 moms right now in the moms room. “We’re getting a lot of comebacks, girls that were here earlier in the week or in the month,” stated St. George.
After the economy tanked 5 years ago, West Springfield’s Lucchesi Billiards felt the blow, which is why tax free weekend is so important to this family business. “We’ve had a few families that have given up their family vacations this year and have made the purchases so they can enjoy a lifetime of memories at home,” store manager Lynda Waller smiled.
To entice buyers even more, Waller points out that they’re also offering additional discounts, so that folks can get the most bang for their buck.
Waller says they’re not usually open on Sundays, but because of the tax free holiday, they’ll be open from 12-5 tomorrow.
As for bridal corner, they’re not extending their hours and will remain closed Sunday.
