We are only three weeks week to the fair and this year, there is plenty to look forward to.
The streets of Eastern States Exposition fairgrounds are bare, but soon, they will be filled with thousands of people from all around the country.
This year, you can expect more excitement than ever.
“This year, we have the racing pigs with us. We haven’t had racing pigs since the 80′s,” says Noreen Tassinari, Director of Marketing at Eastern States Exposition.
There’s also a new wine and cheese barn for tasting New England’s greatest selections.
Also on tap, new exhibits. Hard Rock International is bringing some of its most prized possessions to the 17-day fair.
Tassinari adds, “3,500 square foot exhibit called The Hard Rock Tour and it’s memorabilia that you may see in a Hard Rock Café.”
You’ll see items like John Lennon’s eyeglasses and a 90′s stage outfit from Whitney Houston.
No Big E would be complete without some entertainment..
The stands are empty now, but soon enough, there will be some big names here on the grounds.
To start off the fair, a dance party with DJ Pauly D.
“We’ve got Tommy James and the Shondells and Kix Brooks is coming as well from the country side,” Tassinari explains.
Also, Randy Houser will be here, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Don Felder, 17-year-old rising pop sensation Austin Mahone, and the symphonic sounds of Elvis.
The only show requiring tickets is country superstar Hunter Hayes.
