Cookout to Help Springfield Dogs
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB)– Dog lovers turned out for the 2nd annual Kane’s Krusade cookout at the King Phillip Stockade in Springfield today.
Kane’s Krusade is a non-profit that looks to help dog owners through tough economic times with canine assistance, resource, and empowerment kits.
Today, we spoke with dog owner Miachael Caban, who is very appreciative of the group’s assistance.
” I came across some health issues and since then I’ve been out of work and I haven’t been able to afford their foods or anything so they’ve been able to help me out with that. It feels great because otherwise I would not be able to handle the financial end of it and I probably wouldn’t be able to keep them.”
Kane’s Krusade offers assistance with care issues such as food, vaccinations, and spay and neutering.
