Drugs, Over $13K in Cash Found During Greenfield Drug Raid
GREENFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — A raid Wednesday morning resulted in the arrest of two people.
Greenfield Police Det. Lt. Daniel McCarthy says that following a lengthy investigation by the Northwestern District Anti-Crime Task Force, agents from that agency, along with members of the Greenfield Police and Mass. State Police, executed a search warrant at an apartment on Armory Street around 5:00 a.m. Wednesday.
A search of the apartment was made and McCarthy adds that over 30 grams of crack were found, along with scales, packaging materials, and over $13,000.
Investigators say that the crack had an estimated street value of $3,000 to $5,000.
Police arrested 33-year-old Rion Latta of Greenfield and charged him with one count of trafficking in cocaine (18 to 36 grams) and possession with intent to distribute cocaine (subsequent offenses).
McCarthy adds that 29-year-old Victoria McCrae of Greenfield was also arrested during the raid on an outstanding warrant.
Both are set to be arraigned in Greenfield District Court.
