WARWICK, Mass. (WGGB) – Authorities have identified a Franklin County man killed in a farming accident.

Mary Carey, spokesperson for Northwestern District Attorney David Sullivan, says that Monday afternoon, 77-year-old Kenneth Hubbard Jr. was reportedly using draft horses to hay and bale a field when the horses became startled.

This caused Hubbard to fall and get dragged for a short distance.

Emergency crews arrived and determined that Hubbard had passed away.

An autopsy is underway to determine the exact cause of death.

Carey adds that the incident remains under investigation by the Warwick Police Department and troopers assigned to Sullivan’s office.
