Six Flags “Raises the Flags” Against Bullying
AGAWAM, Mass. (WGGB)– Six Flags is hosting an Anti-Bullying Day today by selling blue ribbons for a minimum $1 donation for entry into the park for $20.13. All proceeds from the sale of the ribbons will be donated to the Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover Foundation.
The foundation says, “With kids going back to school right around the corner, this is the time to address the issue of bullying within the New England community. 100% of the donated proceeds will go to the Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover Foundation.
The Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover Foundation was established in 2010 to bring awareness to and end the bullying epidemic among youth in our schools. 11-year old Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover took his life after being repeatedly tormented at school.
Members from the Foundation will be onsite to assist Six Flags with this very important cause.
Six Flags New England will also be offering a variety of family activities to educate and put a stop to bullying. All students will be invited to sign an anti-bullying pledge at the Park or take part in the Positivity Dance Party located at the Splash Water Stage.
