Two Killed in Early Morning Plane Crash in Taunton

TAUNTON, Mass. (WGGB) – An early morning plane crash at the Taunton Municipal Airport has taken the lives of two people early Sunday morning.

It happened at 6:30 Sunday morning. Taunton Police say the small plane crashed on take off and caught fire, killing the two people on board.

WCVB reports the air commissioner told them that the plane was burned so badly that they couldn’t make out the tail number. They had to cut the wings to get to the victims.

The Massachusetts State Police have confirmed to ABC40 that they are assisting in the investigation.

The FAA says they are also investigating and will release more details when new information is available.
