Hundreds Enjoy The Great New England Wings and Wheels Show

VO_ WINGS OVER WHEELSCHICOPEE, Mass. (WGGB) — The 2013 Great New England Wings and Wheels Show landed at Chicopee’s Westover Metropolitan Airport this weekend.

Sequester cuts prevented the Westover Air Reserve Base from hosting their annual show this year… making this the only opportunity for locals to see a show like this.

The Galaxy Community Council is responsible for making it happen.

“We have done this to perpetuate the interest in the aircraft that we have on display and act actually as a bridge to the next air show which will happen some day when the congressional funding has been restored,” said Bud Shuback of the Galaxy Community Council

B-25 Mitchell Bombers, P-40s, and C-47s were just some of the aircraft on display, along with more than 500 classic cars.
