Suspect in ’09 Killings to be Arraigned in Boston

BOSTON (AP) — A suspect who has been returned to Boston from the Caribbean is expected to be arraigned in Boston on murder charges related to a triple homicide four years ago.

Authorities said Sunday that Keron Pierre, formerly of Mattapan, is to be arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court on Monday.

He’s accused of fleeing Massachusetts days after 19-year-old Anthony Peoples and Shacora Gaines and Chantal Palmer, both 20, were fatally shot in a car outside a party in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood in March 2009.

Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley says the 27-year-old Pierre was arrested in Trinidad on unrelated charges in 2010.

Conley says Pierre abandoned a challenge to extradition and U.S. marshals escorted him to Logan Airport where he was arrested on Friday.

Pierre faces charges of first-degree murder, armed assault and firearms offenses.
