Head-On Crash in Enfield Sends 4 People to the Hospital

ENFIELD, Conn. (WGGB) — A head-on crash in Enfield Friday afternoon involving a mini-van and a Fed Ex tractor trailer truck sent 4 people to the hospital including 3 children.

Emergency personnel got the call at 2:15 p.m. for an accident at 22 Shaker Road.

Our crew who went to the scene says that while Life Star was called in, it was later cancelled.  However, firefighters did have to use the Jaws of Life to free one individual from the white mini-van.

The 3 children and 1 adult were transported to area hospitals for treatment police say.  No word yet on their conditions or the identity of the adult.

According to Enfield Police Officer Gavello, the Metro Traffic Reconstruction Services team is looking into the circumstances surrounding this crash.  But police are still asking for the public’s help.
