Motorcyclist Arrested For Speeding Into Police Officers

Car-Accident-MotorcycleHOLYOKE (WGGB) — A motorcycle driver was arrested in Holyoke Saturday night for driving at high speeds towards police officers.

Holyoke Police say Herman Gomez, 41, was arrested just before 7 p.m., after he was seen doing “wheelies” on his motorcycle at more than 100 m.p.h. by two officers executing a separate traffic stop.

Police say Gomez then turned around and, revving his engine, drove back in the direction of the officers.

The officers attempted to tell him to stop, but Gomez instead hit a police car with his motorcycle. One of the officers sustained minor injuries.

Gomez is charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous vehicle, among others.
