GREENFIELD (WGGB) — Power is beginning to be restored in Franklin County, after powerful winds and rain from a storm caused several outages Saturday.

WMECO says that power has been restored for more than 200 customers in the town of Leyden, all of whom were without power. 235 customers in Greenfield are still without power, along with 129 customers in Colrain.

135 customers in Shelburne and 28 customers in Pittsfield are now without power, as more rain may move through the area tonight.

The strong winds have knocked down trees, including trees causing minor damage on the roof of a home on Leyden Road.
