Season Schedule Announced for UMass Men’s Basketball

AMHERST, Mass. (WGGB) — UMass Athletics has announced the schedule for the upcoming men’s basketball season.

The Minutemen will take on the AIC Yellow Jackets in exhibition play at the Mullins Center on Tuesday, November 5.

The team then hits the road for their first regular season game on Sunday, November 10 against Boston College.

UMass comes back to campus for their first home game on Tuesday, November 12 at 11:00 a.m. against LSU. That game will be televised on ESPN2.

In addition to the Boston College and LSU games, UMass is set to take on several non-conference opponents next season including Florida State, New Mexico, BYU, Providence, and Eastern Michigan.

Also announced Wednesday was news that the Minutemen will get at least 14 nationally televised games next season, including the Providence game on December 28 and Dayton on March 1, both of which will be on ESPNU.

More televised games may be announced at a later date.

The Minutemen finished last season with a 21-12 record after losing in the first round of the NIT to Stony Brook.
