Easthampton High School Assistant Principal Resigns

Easthampton High SchoolEASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WGGB) – An Easthampton high school assistant principal has resigned following a drunk driving conviction.

School Superintendent Nancy Follansbee confirmed for us tonight at a school committee meeting that they have accepted Anne Beauregard’s resignation.

Beauregard received a one year suspended sentence for drunk driving back in February.  However, Follansbee would not say whether the resignation was connected to that incident.

The former assistant principal was arrested after her car was found facing the wrong way on a West Springfield street after she allegedly struck a curb.

She is currently serving two years probation and must abstain from drinking, take random drug tests, and report to an inpatient treatment program.
