Hairspray Actress Pia Zadora Ordered to Undergo Anger Counseling

Actress Pia Zadora has been ordered to complete alcohol and impulse control counseling, The Las Vegas Sun reports.

Zadora, who appeared in Hairspray and Naked Gun 33 1/3, was arrested on a domestic violence charge in May after allegedly spraying her teenage son with a hose to make him go to bed. The singer-actress also allegedly grabbed him around the neck and scratched him during the incident.

When police arrived on the scene, Zadora and her husband, a Las Vegas police officer, refused to come outside. SWAT officers were eventually called.Zadora, 61, has two other children.

Zadora faces 30 days in jail if she doesn’t comply with the sentence. She most recently appeared on BIO’s Celebrity Ghost Stories in 2012.

A status check on the case is scheduled for Oct. 10.
