Springfield Fire Displaces Three Adults and Six Children

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – Six children and three adults have been displaced from their homes after a morning fire in Springfield.

According to Dennis Leger, Executive Aide to the Fire Commissioner, the fire occurred at 130-132 Orange Street in Springfield just before 10 a.m.

The fire which originated in a third floor bedroom in the two family home caused between $45,000 and $50,000 in damage.

The Red Cross is assisting those families that lived at the address.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
